# Tribute-picture for TP`s 5th anniversary. ^^

Just a quickly / cheaply coloured sketch. XP 

Sometimes you`re just feeling sad and weird and although your friends are around, they can`t really help you...Feeling that way sucks. -.- 

... ^_^

This was originally drawn with coloured pencils, but I put a Photoshop-filter over it and thought it looked better that way. ^_^ 

Inspired by the supernova-sequence in the movie.

Wanted to experiment a bit more with paths in Photoshop.
But since the lineart of the shrinked picture looks almost exactly like my hand-drawn outlines I `ll stick to the traditional way, which is more fun, anyway. 

Well...boring pose, I know, butI love displaying emotion just through the eyes. ^^

I`ve been working on this for quite a while.

The first sketches were drawn when I was still working on the kiwi-movie last year. I remember sitting at school at 3 a.m. ( Sam and I were taking a break from animating ) and in my trance-like state I was like "Gotta start drawing a Treasure Planet-poster..." XD

A few months later I finally finished the sketches and again it took a while until I decided to colour it.

The colouring and background took me about one week ( I was working on it every evening after work ).

I posted some WIPs in my LiveJournal and agreed that including the R.L.S. Legacy and the Benbow Inn to my poster was a good idea, but now I know why I usually don`t draw technical / architectural stuff like ships or houses. Getting both of them onto the paper took me two evenings and colouring a whole afternoon...and LOTS of references and nerves! XD

I drew everything myself, except the movie title, which I scanned from one of my TP-books and inserted into the final poster.

That`s the most time-consuming and detailed picture I ever did...and I guess I won`t do anything like that again too soon. :P 

Drew this in the train, shortly after I had seen "Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At World`s End" and was in a very piratish mood. I just adore those old, rugged and dirty costumes! :D

To somewhat combine PotC`s and Treasure Planet`s worlds, I drew Jim with old pirate`s clothes and an old-fashioned treasure map ( paper! oooohhh! ;) ), but choose the etherium and a ship with solar sails for the background. ^^

Well, how bored did I have to be to draw Jim THAT often? XD

It started with one sketch while sitting in the train, then in the airplane to Munich, followed by several times at home while I was nearly dying of boredom.
And yeah, at the end of the weekend the picture looked like that. So freaky that I had to colour it, to show the world once more how obsessed I am. *lol*

Morph and Jim in some sort of chibi-style. ^_^ 

Just a random doodle of Jim which I decided to colour...And yeah, I quite enjoyed inking the outlines a bit thicker than usual. 

Just another day of boredom.  

Yeah...don`t ask. I like black, I like wings, I like Jim, so here ya go. XP

Just wanted to try out some new clothes on Jim. ^^ .

This was inspired by some plastic plates I bought in Disneyland Paris this weekend ( the colourful ones in the left corner with Ariel and Stitch on them ). [link]
And yep, we went there with money and came back without it but with lotsa Disney-stuff! It was worth it! 
Ahem, back to the picture. I liked the simple colouring and the lack of outlines on the plates and wanted to try it out, too.

Quick and crappy drawing with quick and crappy colouring I did when I wasn`t feeling too good...

Some time ago I found my very first drawing of Jim and Morph ( which I did right after watching "Treasure Planet" for the first time ). I was shocked by it´s crappiness and decided to make a new version of it, also to see how much my art has improved.

"The Time Has Come." 

The title just suddenly popped into my mind when I had almost finished the pic, there`s no backstory.Jim is just being…cool...as usual. ^_~ 

Drawn late at night after I had been working on my homework all day long and needed something to relax...and what`s more relaxing than scribbling a sexy picture of Jimbo? :D

It`s still not 100% realistic but I kinda like how it turned out...well, except of the fact that it seems like I broke his right hand. ^^"
The dark brown colours are coffee. I once heard about Harald Siepermann, one of our lecturers at animation school, that he sometimes uses coffee for colouring his sketches because it has such an interesting colour / texture.
So I tried it out myself because I wanted the background to look like a very old piece of paper. 
But now the whole picture flavors of coffee... *has a sudden need for coffeine* XD 

I had finished colouring Jimbo quite a long time ago but the background took me half an eternity.All those details, yeah, details everywhere! *laughs insanely* XD
Okay, I know the perspective sucks, but my perspectives always suck so why should this be different ? :P

When I sat at school I had the sudden idea of turning the drawing into a black and white only picture.I liked how it turned out but since I had already started with the computer colouring I decided to finish that one as well.So that`s why there are two versions of the pic. ^^"
Uhm, by the way, that`s a hologram-alarm clock Jim wants to blow away. ;) 

I usually don`t upload my ballpoint-pen drawings but I somehow really liked how this one turned out. :D

October 2003 :

I had to make a report about a book for English class.Of course I chose "Treasure Island".I had already read the book but since some time had passed I read it a second time.During a free period my friend Uli and I sat in the common room of our school.I suddenly started laughing as I read the following ( original ! ) sentence :
"So a big pigeon pie was brought in and put on a sidetable..."
We instantly had that picture of a disgusting looking cake in our minds and I said that`s something Silver would bake.So I drew the first sketch and we nearly laughed ourselves to death ( yep, that was a funny day ). 

The next two years I kept saying "Oh, I`m gonna colour this one soon."...I never did. ^^"

August / September 2005 :

I found the sketch again and finally finished Silver`s hand and redrew some parts since it was SO old.Inked and scanned it and told myself again "I`m gonna colour this soon!"

November 20th 2005 :

I actually started colouring it! Go me! XD

November 22nd 2005  :
It`s finished! FINALLY finished!!! *does a happy dance*

I can imagine that Jim got into fights with Scroop more often than it was shown in the movie.Hey, c`mon, that spider psycho doesn`t need much provocation to get furious. 
After another dust-up Silver finds him injured in the galley.
Silver : "Ye gotta stop starting fight with that spider, lad! Ye could have been killed!"
Jim : "Whatever...as if anyone would care..."

I was watching "Yu-Gi-Oh!" and...well, it just happened! XD Please forgive me! *lol* XD  

Wolvy and I were talking about the movie "I, Robot" and thought about what would happen if B.E.N. behaved like Sonny... *lol*

For TP`s 2nd anniversary. ^____^

Yes,I know that doesn`t look like the uniform Jim was wearing at the end of "TP" but lemme explain :
I don`t like white clothing and I didn`t like how they changed Jim`s hairstyle and stuff when he joined the Interstellar Academy.They can`t change his hairstyle!I love his hair!
Blue and black are my fave colours and I think that looks better as a uniform for Jim.Whatever,just my opinion.I`m more the "dark" type. : P.

*lol* Okay,this needs an explanation :When TP came into theatres Wolvy visited me and we ( of course ) watched it together.In the evening my little brother told us that he had bought the TP-computer game "Battle at Procyon" and we watched him playing it.And then (in the game) Jim got a letter that ended with "Beware!".We somehow found that really funny and joked about Jim getting paranoid ´cause everywhere somebody told him to beware of something. One of our insane ideas was the thing with the letter soup. XD Mean,I know. *g*

Uhm,would you believe me if I told ya that I`ve drawn this for all the Jim-fangirls out there and not for myself only?No?Geez, ya know me too well. XD 

Messed around with some emotions,well, uh, nothing else to say.

I just love drawing him that way ´cause he looks so cute and innocent when he`s sleeping. Okay,okay,he also does when he`s awake but I guess you know what I mean. ^_~ 

This picture was a B-day present for my friend Angie.^_^ Ooh,I guess that`s the sexiest pic of Jim I`ve ever drawn,huh?I did it for Angie, for her only, I had NO fun drawing this! *innocent smile that turns into satisfied grin* XD
